Telangana Minister Konda Surekha raised a huge stir whilst she alleged that Bharat Rashtra Samiti Chief KT Rama Rao hooked Telugu actresses to narcotics. The Congress chief claimed that KTR used to faucet the actresses' phones and blackmail them. While Surekha apologised for her statement, actress Rakul Preet Singh, who has in general worked within the Telugu movie business, wrote a detailed reaction on the problem. The actor refrained the Congress minister from politicising her name.
