The Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted divorce to movie star chef Kunal Kapur at the grounds of cruelty meted out to him by his estranged wife, pronouncing the girl's conduct toward him became with out dignity and empathy. In his plea, Kapur accused his spouse of by no means respecting his parents and humiliating him.

On the other hand, the woman accused him of creating false allegations to lie to the courtroom and stated she constantly attempted to talk along with her husband like a loving partner and become loyal in the direction of him. "It is applicable to say here that within  years of marriage, the appellant has hooked up himself as a movie star chef, that is a mirrored image of his hard work and determination. Considering the aforesaid information, it is handiest prudent to take a look at that those are mere allegations made by means of the respondent to disrepute the appellant in the eyes of the court docket and such unsubstantiated claims have the effect on one's reputation and consequently, amounts to cruelty," the bench stated.
