CBFC denies refusing certification to 72 Hoorain trailer, says Misleading reports being circulated
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on Thursday dismissed reports that the trailer of "72 Hoorain" changed into denied certification, pronouncing the matter is "under due manner". Reports at the alleged denial of a censor certificates for the film's trailer sparked debates over innovative freedom and censorship. Earlier movie's co-producer Ashoke Pandit claimed the censor board refused to offer a certificate to the trailer of the film, set to be launched on July 7.Now reacting to the same, the CBFC stated, "Misleading reviews are being circulated in certain sections of media that a film and its trailer titled 'Bahattar Hoorain (72 Hoorain)' has been refused certification through Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Contrary to the reviews, CBFC states that the film 'Bahattar Hoorain (72 Hoorain)' became granted 'A' certification and the certificates was issued on four-10-2019."
Starring Pavan Malhotra and Aamir Bashir inside the lead, the Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan directorial specializes in the consequences of violent extremism. The filmmaker won the National Film Award for best course for the movie in 2021.
The CBFC said the makers carried out for a certificates for the movie's trailer on June 19 and it turned into "examined according with the Guidelines issued under Section 5B(2) of the Cinematograph Act, 1952".
