The 70th National Film Awards were found out on Friday, August 16 inside the national capital. The jury comprised - Rahul Rawail as the Chairperson of the Feature Film Jury, Nila Madhab Panda as the Chairperson of the Non-Feature Film Jury, and Gangadhar Mudalair because the Chairperson of the Best Writing on Cinema Jury.

Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor award for his hit film 'Kantara' on the 70th National Film Awards, which have been discovered in the national capital lately. Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh each acquired the Best Actress award, with Nithya being identified for her overall performance in the Tamil movie 'Thiruchitrambalam' and Manasi for her function in the Gujarati film 'Kutch Express'.The awards honouring the satisfactory movies and cinematic achievements of the 12 months 2022, were introduced through the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) at a press conference here.

The story of 'Kantara' takes area within the made-up village of Dakshina Kannada and revolves round Shetty, who plays the role of a Kambala champion. He has a war of words with a principled Forest Range officer. 'Kantara' also received the award for 'Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.'

Manoj Bajpayee's movie 'Gulmohar' won the 'Best Hindi Film' award and also obtained a Special Mention. Directed by Rahul V. Chittella, the film tells the tale of the Batra own family throughout generations as they prepare to leave their 34-year-old own family domestic - Gulmohar. The movie explores how this transition results in the rediscovery of the circle of relatives's deep-seated bonds, secrets and techniques, and insecurities. In addition to Bajpayee, the movie features Sharmila Tagore, Simran, and Suraj Sharma in distinguished roles.

Malayalam-language drama 'Aattam' received the Best Feature Film award. At last year's 69th National Film Awards, Allu Arjun, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, and Pankaj Tripathi were a few of the winners.
